Are you my mother?

I absolutely loved this book. The only thing that made me give it four stars instead of five was that for me psychoanalysis does not hit too close to home. Even though I absolutely felt the connections Alison made with for example Winnicot's theories, her personal development and the relationships with her close ones, I still thought many of the theories themselves were quite far-fetched, and took a lot of space from other, in my opinion more interesting and important things. I will need to buy this as my own anyway, as this was personally one of the most important books I have read in at least ten years. I loved it.
