It‘s one of those books where you know, nothing really bad will happen. And the Nac Mac Feegle were fun. There were some parts that I didn‘t get or maybe they were inconsistent, especially towards the end (the dream mechanics/how dromes work)
Eines meiner Lieblingsbücher von der Scheibenwelt, jetzt vorgelesen weil das Kind im richtigen Alter dazu ist und etwas "Lustiges und Ernstes" wollte. Eignet sich hervorragend zum kapitelweise Vorlesen und hat die richtige Mischung aus Ernsthaftigkeit, ein bisschen Grusel, Witz und Spannung. Die Übersetzung ist gelungen, wobei ich finde, dass man den Nac Mac Feegle einfach ihren Namen hätte lassen können. Als Einstieg in die Scheibenwelt jedenfalls sehr gut geeignet.
Kiekkomaailma-sarja hyppää välillä lastenkirjallisuuden puolelle. Tiffany Aching -osasarjan avauskirjassa yhdeksänvuotias nimikkohenkilö ryhtyy noidaksi, vetää hirviöitä turpaan ja pelastaa pikkuveljensä unimaailman kuningattaren käsistä. Koska tämä on lastenkirja, juoni ei haaro niin moneen suuntaan kuin Kiekkomaailmassa yleensä ja huumorinappulakin on käännetty tavanomaisesta poikkeavaan asentoon. Unimaailmaseikkailut eivät tavallisesti minua kiehdo, eikä tämä kirja muodosta poikkeusta.

Eit sitat om bokas heltinne er: «She’d read the dictionary all the way through. No one told her you weren’t supposed to.», som minner meg då eg fekk barneleksikon til bursdag, og kunne opplyse om at eg hadde lest dei ferdig to veker etterpå.
Eg har forsøkt meg på ulike inngangar i Discworld-serien, likt nokre og falt av andre, men det er først her eg har følt meg heime.
