I was looking forward to this with excitement. Unfortunately it was a bit disappointing. So what was wrong? Well, for me it looks like there should have been lots of editing. I know, theres pressures: fans are waiting and bills should be paid. Yet, I hoped so much that the book would be written more thoughfull.
First I need to say: I actually liked the world she has created. It was intresting and very enjoyable. But how the World was introduced: Well it wasn't. I didn't like how it felt like the story is starting in the middle, not knowing at first what kind of world things are happening in.
And there were lots of characters not properly introduced, just to kill them at very beginning. It was awful start.
Usually I think that many writers are forcefully splitting one book to duable or triangle. This time I hoped that …

This time I hoped that writer would had written two books instead one. Like first one where you get to know world and characters better.
I also got frustrated for the stupid dialogue and sworing. I don't mind bad language if it seems to fit, but this time it sounded like trying too much to sound like younger. fuck this, fuck that. Yea, not very imaginative. Too many fucks and assholes. And how many times it is nesessary to mention alphahole shit? Narration was also time to time unlogical. I mean, how many times there is need to tell that main caharacter has high heels in silly way? "her heel stuck" and so what? Nothing happening even it was stuck. So plot was going forward with unnecessary mentions.
I also think that Hunt and realitionship with him was too obvious and boring. I was hoping from half way the book that Bryce would realise that actually Hell's 5th lord is her true mate or something like that.
There was also too many very obvious plot twists. No one was surprised that she actually had secret skills or who was villain.
Will I read the next book? Well, yes. I already have bought it. And there was enough in this world for me to read it on some day. But I'm still disappointed. Because with this world, with this main character and her friends it could have been 5 stars book, but instead result was max 3 stars. I loved Sarah J. Maas A Court of Thorns and Roses serie. But so far this didn't get on the same level.
