PiiaB reviewed The secret of secrets by Dan Brown ([Robert Langdon], #[6])
Too long
2 stars
Compared to the previous books, this one tries to boldly step into some sort of scifi instead of staying within historical mysteries. It is not a good idea.
It is an okay thriller that could happen anywhere, Prague is not important. Langdon's arcane knowledge that is highlighted in the back text is only useful for solving some very random small puzzles.
Most of the chapters featuring the Golem could be replaced with sentence "The Golem moved into the next space. He still wanted to kill everyone." They felt like a filler. Why would you need to repeat this stuff every few chapters?
There are better books to read, this is just hyped because of the previous books of the author.
