Girls is a story about small town fighting against alien invaders and each others, as the invaders are hostile towards only half of the population. I liked the concept of the story and the artwork. However, I did not get inside the heads of the characters well enough to understand why they acted in dramatic and often stupid manner at times.
I like the genre of survival horror and Girls falls into that category. I usually also like it when story is told in a manner that allows reader to watch what is happening to group of people in difficult situations. However, Girls was quite a long read and got often repetitive. The characters were bland and none of them were interesting enough to wonder what happens to them.
