Tämä kirja oli kissan valinta. Sivusta kuulemani perusteella odotin pitkäpiimäistä, tylsää ja ehkä ärsyttävääkin kirjaa. Mutta ei tämä nyt niin huono ollut. Ensimmäiset kaksisataa sivua olivat kyllä melkoisen hidasta vatvomista, ja sen jälkeenkin tapahtumat etenivät melko verkkaisesti, kunnes päästiin viimeiseen kolmannekseen. Hieman tasapainoton siis, mutta lopulta kokonaisuutena ihan jees. Maailma itsessään ehkä joiltain osin hiukan liikaakin fantasiamaailmojen maneereita toistava, mutta on sitä pahempaankin törmätty. Mutta saattaapa olla, että en jaksa lukea trilogian muita osia.
