Janet Evanovich: Smokin' seventeen (Hardcover, 2011, Headline Review)
Helpompi on mennä junaan, laivaan, kuolla
kuin jäädä asemalle, satamaan, kääntyä
kotiin
jossa joka tuolilla istuu tyhjä
tyhjä tulee yhdeksi pöytään
ja joka ovenavauksella
sisään uudelleen
Helpompi on mennä junaan, laivaan, kuolla
kuin jäädä asemalle, satamaan, kääntyä
kotiin
Janet Evanovich: Sizzling sixteen (2010, Random House Large Print)
New York Times best selling author Janet Evanovich presents the sixteenth installment in the Stephanie Plum series, a collection of …
Janet Evanovich: Plum Spooky (2008, Ballantine Books)
Turn on all the lights and check under your bed. Things are about to get spooky in Trenton, New Jersey. …
Caught up again with my Goodreads reading challenge for the year, yay!
Although this book was a bit more "nay"
Obviously this reminded me of Evanovich' other series, but a lot of this book too:

Stephanie Plum series are wacky, a little dumb but in a way that makes me laugh. Fox and O'Hare gave up some of the wackiness for a little less ridiculous crimes and criminals. Which could be good. A good mystery is a good mystery, you know. But since the characters are a lot more competent with what they do, it's not as much fun. And honestly, there's a lot of characters introduced but I don't really feel much for them. I don't know what is it that's missing, but something is missing.
And Nick Fox - he's not the kind of perfect you really fancy. He's …

In the end, it's alright. You might not particularly regret spending your time with this book, but in the end, you'll know you could've done better.
First time listening to Audible audiobook! Took some adjusting to get used to the reader acting out the voices. The reader was rather good, but somehow couldn't quite fit as Ranger's voice... So it was a bit silly.
The format put aside, it was somewhat boring to me. Not Evanovich' strongest book at all. Rather slow paced and surprisingly, not even that funny to me. If this was the first book in the series, I'd ditch it - but since I've had such fun times with Stephanie in the past, I think I'll continue reading just to see where it goes.
This one added nothing new to the table. Nevertheless, I had a blast, probably because I had a break between this and the previous book. I'm in for another light-hearted read so I'll probably read the next one soon. We'll see if I'll enjoy that one too.
