Fascinating. This book fleshes out the world of [b:Wool|12287209|Wool (Wool, #1)|Hugh Howey|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1327889474s/12287209.jpg|17263666], explaining what happened before the previous novel. Then it moves on to events after the first book, so it's both a prequel and a sequel. If you liked the first book, this is a must.
